Client Appreciation Party Doyle & DeVoe - Iowa Realty hosts a Client Appreciation Party every year. This year's theme was "A Football Tailgaiting Party. Hot Dogs, hamburgers, & ice-cream were on the menu, and kids of all ages enjoyed the bouncy house. Community Parades Doyle & DeVoe - Iowa Realty take part in three different parades in the community throughout the year. The parades are always a lot of fun and Doyle & DeVoe looks forward to participating in them each year. Thanks With Franks Each September Newton hosts Thanks With Franks, a community event that allows business owners to serve up a unique hot dog dish to the public. This year Doyle & DeVoe - Iowa Realty served Chuckwagon Dogs. They were delicious. Halloween Walk Each October Colfax hosts a Halloween Walk. Businesses set up tables and provide special treats to children of all ages dressed in Halloween costumes. This year Doyle & DeVoe served hot chocolate and candy dipped pretzels. The treats were a big hit! Fall Celebration Doyle & DeVoe - Iowa Realty held a fall celebration in November at the Newton Country Club for clients and fellow business persons. Lighted Parade Every year the Friday after Thanksgiving the town of Newton hosts a Lighted Parade. This year the theme was "It's A Wonderful Life". The Doyle & DeVoe Team, dressed in 1940's costumes, walked beside a float portraying the town of Bedford Falls. Office Trip Doyle & DeVoe - Iowa Realty has provided an office trip for staff and agents for the past three years. This year the office visited Punta Cana in The Dominican Republic. Great fun was had by all!

People who are selling their homes should know something about the market group from which their buyers are likely to appear. Many homes are perfect for a first-time buyer. First-time buyers are making a major purchase they have never attempted before, and may be unusually subject to the inevitable stress and anxiety that goes with buying a home.
First-time home buyers are usually younger (between 25 and 34 years of age) and have distinct buying patterns. First-timers are often looking for homes that are smaller, and perhaps older, than repeat buyers. The median home size for first-time buyers is about 1450 square feet. Approximately four in ten first-timers will buy homes built before 1960, compared to two in ten repeat buyers.
First-time buyers are in the process of developing a clearly defined sense of what they want in a house. They may not have enough money to buy their ultimate dream home at first, but seventy-four percent say they like their new home better than their previous residence.
